Pano Touchscreen Desk

The 100 inch touchscreen, can detect 40+ simultaneous contact points. Ideum have topped Apple so far on this type of development.

It runs Windows 7(64bit) on its Intel Quad Core i7, with nVidia Quadro 600 1GB graphics and 8GB of DDR3 RAM. It certainly packs a punch. We could see this coming to control rooms, or incident centres soon. Offices will have to wait a while longer before this falls within budget.

Surface Pro - Feb9th

The Surface Pro runs the new Windows 8, and aims to replace the old style desktop. It comes in 64GB and 128GB. It has the powerful Intel Core i5 processor inside. The 10.6 inch sreen boasts a 1920x1080 resolution.

You are limited in the software you can install, no iTunes or Spotify, only the tiny selection provided by Microsofts app store. It is thicker and heavier than expected, with a predicted poor 5-6 hour battery life.

Google Master Password

Google researchers are proposing an encrypted USB key, or a similar device that could be made into a finger ring, could solve the big problem we face with endless passwords.

We are the weakest link in this age of password protection, we forget, create weak passwords or use the same password for many accounts. This leaves us vunerable. Pieces of jewlery or smart phones could provide a "physical" master key for all of our accounts
